I used to feed my doggie something called "hund en flocken" by a company called Solid Gold... not sure of its availability outside of Toronto, but it was really good. Shiny coat, lots of energy and it kept him pretty regular.
I usually added a few spoonfuls of canned food which I can't remember the name of, but its basically just canned meat- no fillers, no preservatives, just meat- its not nutritionally complete, but its fine with the kibble and it makes it more appetizing for him. He liked the rabbit, go figure.
Of course... for the last year or so he was alive he often got his own serving of whatever we were having- a burger for me, a burger for him. Bacon for me, bacon for him. Steak for me, steak for him. You get the idea.
I'm thinking I'm gonna get another dog soon...
