I used a lot of both, primarily Iams for my Siberian Husky. He's pushing 11, and his coat looks great. Actually, his entire appearance is that of a dog half his age. No signs of arthritis, eyes fairly clear. I was expecting him to further beat the odds and be with me for several more years.
Diagnosed with liver problems last week. Trying a few things, I'm not too optimistic. He seems to think that he is done. Which is so surprising, as he has always the most exciteable boy, always ready for more.
So, my next dog will also get his share of Iams.
I suspect that any premium brand is a good choice.
I was really surprised by the CR article a few years ago, asked my Vet about Old Roy, he called it crap.
