But there are some specialty brands that cost like $2-$3 per pound. A family friend raises sled dogs and feeds one of these types of food, don't remember the name, but it has "eagle" in it if I'm not mistaken. (The name has "eagle" in it, not the food!). My mom used to own a top-notch pet store and eukanuba is for sure the best, but our ghetto mutts got Nutra-Nuggets!!
