Here is an old article from Car and Driver http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=4&article_id=3604&page_number=1. I remember another article that had a multi car comparo on the issue, one of which was a Saab. The only car that they noticed a difference in was the Saab.
I always use Sunoco 94...
