About three weeks ago I had the privilege of some road rage with a guy in a Lincoln Navigator. He was hogging the left lane, etc, and so I simply signalled, and passed him on the right, which in this state is perfectly legal to do. I ended up with a Navigator seriously a foot from my rear bumper.
This was in a very isolated area, exit 24-25 (heading north) on I-87 here in upstate NY. No real speeding risk once you're past exit 25.. so we pass exit 25, and he's still up my back bumper. Couldn't see what kind of gestures he was making, etc. due to his vehicle being way taller than mine. I uncapped a half a 2L bottle of Coke, opened my sunroof, and emptied it onto his windshield, then stood on it. Evidently those lumbering beasts are speed limited at somewhere under 100mph, because I cruised at 115-120 for a minute or three and he wasn't even in sight. Got off at my planned exit, never saw him again...
