Recently, I was driving down the road and missed a turnoff. So I pulled into the outskirts of a Circuit City parking lot, drove down one lane of parked cars until I came to an opening, cut through, and then drove back up another lane of cars on my way to the exit. All done carefully and at a reasonable speed. I figured this was a pretty safe way to switch lanes--no mid-road "u-wey" for me.
Well, this SUV that pulled into the parking lot shortly after me is now heading towards me. I am on the right side of the road, he's on the left. Neither of us are going very fast. Then suddenly, he just pulls in front of me, blocking both lanes, and stops. Then he gets out of the vehicle, shouting (I can't hear what) and gesticulating! I have stopped my car at this point maybe twenty feet away.
Well, no way I'm hanging around for this one. I throw my car into reverse, back down the row of cars, cut into another one, and get out of that parking lot ASAP. I can't for the life of me figure out what I did to set this nut off, but there's no way I'm sticking around to find out.
SUV drivers! Every time!
