Poor customer service at Dell

I bought a Dell computer off ebay about two weeks ago and now it not working correctly. The warranty was transfered to me so if anything happens Dell could fix it. Whenever I try to use the laptop now it does not allow me to load any programs. I contacted Dell and was transfered to about 10 differant reps, but when I told them I have had enough of trying to fix the problem over the phone and wished to send the computer in for them to fix it, they hung up the phone on me. The Dell reps say that they only warranty the hardware for one year and if it is software related they try to help you once for free and then they charge you. It seems to me that if you spend close to $1k on a computer it should work no matter what, especially since it is only 5 weeks old. This was the fourth Dell I owned and maybe the last.
