3 ad agencies, 3 consulting firms, 1 museum, a trade assocation, etc.
Now I'm on my own, love it, but always looking for other options/opportunities to supplement simply so I don't get in a rut. After 13 years largely self-employed, I am a believer in having multiple revenue streams. And I could never have a "real" job again. My clients are all huge corporations and I get to see all the BS from the outside--which is close enough

Life is too short to be bored at work---and work takes up too much of life to spend the time bored or hating what you do.
Not many people get to make a living out of what they love doing, but as long as you generally enjoy yourself it tends to work out OK. Nothing is perfect.
