Help for a Homesick Bostonian

Seems like this time every year is when I miss Boston the most. I lived there for 15 years and thought I would never leave. Had dreams of buying a house in Concord, MA and living in the rich tradition of Yankee New England for the rest of my life. The fall colors, the brisk autumn air, the world of Emerson and Thoreau, the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. Boston Beerworks, Commonwealth Brewery, etc...Going to Maine for lunch, NH for the weekend. Driving the Kancamagus Hwy, rounding through Franconia Gap to see the nestled town of Concord, NH in its full glory of the autumn colors. I've been here in ATL for 2 1/2 years and have yet to get back up there and miss it terribly. So tell me, all you Bostonians/New Englanders out there, what are your favorite parts of the area? what roads are you drawn to? What's new and exciting in the area? How's the Big Dig going? And when you walk arond Walden Pond, remember those who can't or never have. Enjoy the beauty of the season there. It isn't the same elsewhere. It is a special place. Tell me about it, bring me home if only in my mind for just a moment. Thanks.
