One thing thats really awesome right now is the Red Sox theme hanging 'round the town. I was walking down Landsdowne Street today heading to the gym and the atmosphere is amazing, including the ticket scalpers! And of course, the Patriots frenzy is starting to build again.
The foliage hasn't really started to turn yet, but its at that point where its just about too. I haven't been up to the White Mountains yet, but I'll be in North Conway in a few weeks. That's one of my favorite New England places to go in the winter and the fall. The weather is just starting to be fallish. It hasn't been crisp yet, but its getting there. One of my favorite things is the Common in the fall. Its awesome to stroll through it and enjoy the scenery and (somewhat) the air. I also love winter here, especially when its snowy.
As others have said, the T is still the same (sucks) and the traffic is still the same (sucks). The Bunker Hill bridge is spectacular, especially at night. And the Liberty Tunnel has not helped the traffic a bit as it was supposed to. Especially when the Harbor is pouring in...
I've never been in ATL, but I've always wondered what it was like. I'm sure there are things there that you'd miss if you were here again. But I think its worth it to take a trip back up and visit for a few days if your schedule allows it. It'll do you a world of good....
