One of the great things about having 4 real seasons

is that when you are just about done with one the next one comes along. The key is having stuff you really like about each season. And in New England, everything is close by--couple hours or so--and even in your own town.
Winter would suck without skiing, and while the short days, having to bundle up, scrape ice of the windshield, snow blow the driveway, etc., get old, skiing more than makes up for it. Yeah, Feb can be a grind but it's only 28 days and March brings great skiing. My season pass is in the mail, and I'm 25 minutes from a chairlift.
Then spring (sorta) comes along in April and the rivers open up for kayaking and fishing and mountain biking is getting going. Other than the black flies and mud, spring is pretty nice. Summer is wonderful except for the humidity, but that is followed by fall when you can still do everything while awaiting the snow and skiing again.
Round and round it goes. I've lived in places where they have climate--as opposed to weather--and I'll take weather any day.
Noel
