I agree, Saabs are very safe cars, among the very safest on the market. And yes, they're a blast to drive :D And every manufacturer has some defects, it's true. Those other cars you listed, in my opinion they are a joke. I'd never drive one. if you ask me, those are really some worthless cars.
I'm talking about hundreds, thousands of Saabs that rolled off the line that didn't have a single PRAYER to make 75,000 miles before headgasket failure.
I'm talking about Saab fixing hundreds and hundreds of heater boxes by replacing and regreasing the knob, and then once the cars were out of warranty, Saab will only replace the entire heater unit at the owners expense.
It's my opinion that Saab had already learned how to build/install a headgasket properly and for whatever reason, decided it wasn't worth their effort. and what I've been saying is, what type of message does that send?
