Cell phones, food, and drink are the bane of good driving. If you are in a car all your attention should be on the task at hand and that task is driving. Not the mocha latte you're gulping or what your mom is making for dinner. A lot of folks also view their driving time as a "waste of time" and therefore need to do something "more" with it. That's probably because they're not driving Saabs ;)
Not having drink holders in my C900 has been problematic over the years, but since I found out it was intentional it really has changed my view on distracted driving.
Just drive... there'll be time enough for the rest when you get there.
