i have a lot a vacuums. they all suck. the most important thing about a vac is how fast can you use it and how well it cleans. i bought a backpack vac. it totally sucks. ( that is a pun) straight thru air path. 2 hp motor. power head connector. i can clean the floor in 1/5th the time. locate it in center closet with 75' extension cord. bagless are interesting but you still have the hepa to clean or toss and cleaning any vacuum is always a drag. i prefer to toss a bag. dyson nicely constructed etc etc tho...
bottom line...ya kinda get what you pay for but suckingness is next to cleanliness. get a turbo...
link is marketing fluff..first one i found....my unit cost 400ish$??? different brand. central vac is better but easier to drag a cord than move a hose. vacuuming is one of those infrastructure things. sometimes i can hardly believe how much dog hair i pick up. i'd hate to dump a bagless with the messes i remove. in a perfect world i'd toss the whole vacuum like a disposable razor.
