I am a civic driver and I even have one of those civics that gets made fun of ont his sight (lots of aftermarket parts). I will not defend the car, but I will say that it is tastefully done and I started it when I was 21 and finally had money to build a real show-quality car. It was a fun hobby and the car has literally never had a problem. It is a 1996 with 37000 miles. That being said I still have the car and keep it because the top comes off and it is fun to drive, and I never have to worry about it not getting to my destination. To address the issue of SUV's. Not all women drive them to shop or tote a kid around, but there are a lot of them that do, including my wife in her Grand Cherokee. We have a Grand Caravan also and she loves the usefullness of it, but hates for her friends to see her in it. It's an image thing. Stereotypes are formed for a reason, but it nice to give people the benefit of the doubt. That little lady might have won the H2 in a contest. Grant it the contest was probably at the mall. Anyway, I choose cars based on what I like at the time and despite all of the Saab quirkiness, my experience with the cars while I worked at a Saab dealership was favorable enough for me to buy one. I now use my Aero to drive to school and I love it, but I also purchased an expensive service contract that I probably would not need with my Honda.
