Where, oh where is my text book "Grounding and Shielding Techniques for Medical Instrumentation"? I probably got rid of it at least 25 years ago! What I do remember is that a common ground for various devices is probably the MOST IMPORTANT thing that you can do to eliminate noise, completely opposite of what you are advising. In my career of dealing with cellular base stations, I will relate the large amount of effort which goes into constructing a grounding system: heavy gauge wire, good terminal lugs, stainless bolts, anti-oxidation goo, all terminated to ONE large copper plate - i.e. a common ground. I have to believe that separating the grounds of different components is not the proper direction to take here.
I would advise keeping the common ground, and running the RCA cables along a different route than the power cable, then evaluate the change. If not solved, make sure you have have adequately sized power cables running to the components, preferably fed from the battery (a large capacitor) and not off of a distibution circuit that can pick up noise.
