OK, first of all I do use it while I drive once in a while. But I don't like it. Especially if I'm driving a manual shift. I need two more hands. Only thing is where I live, we don't have high volume of traffic. But having said that, I don't think it is lack of hands that makes DWC (Driving While Cellphoning - my new acronym, ha!) dangerous. I think just having distraction while driving makes it dangerous. Think about it. I think most of us are capable one hand drivers (driving automatic cars at least). What's the difference if you drive with one hand on the phone vs. driving with one hand holding a coffee mug? Either the state should ban complete cell phone use, or not ban at all, instead of allowing handsfree cell phone. You know what I saw the other day? A guy on hands free in a conversation with a brew of java on one of his none driving hands. I saw a lady on a headset yelling at top of her lungs throwing both hands in the air, while driving. No. I consider hands-free cell phone still DWC. The issue is not the hands. It's the mind. If you don't have your mind on the road, then you will be less aware of your surroundings and more liable for accident.
