Blame fashion! MFGer can make stuff that can out last our lives, but people will buy and replace their working unit because things are not pretty anymore like others noted.
How many of us wore clothe untill they are not wearable? Electronics untill they stop working after multiple repairs?
Our society is placing fashion over function when it comes to any merchandise.
It seems like quality is going down, but it's just that mfger can't afford to spend too much time perfecting their product. Otherwise they will end up introducing perfect product when it's not fashionable, which doesn't sell...
I don't mind if all fashion is driven by the consumers, but that's not the case. Most of times mfgers will creat fashion. I hate that and I hate the fact that stupid people don't see that and follow it.
