have always been sold under the same roof in Canada.
And yes, the times are a changing at Saturn. The upcoming Saturn Aura is more than a re-badged Opel, it was designed in Europe for the american market. It sure looks sharper inside and out than the L sedan it replaces. The upcoming and very sharp looking Saturn Sky is very similar to the Opel Lightning concept. On the wishful thinking side of things, I read that Saab «could» get it's version of the Kappa roadster ! For sure, whether it be from Saturn in NA or Opel in Europe, Saab will feel a warm breath down it's neck. That means Saab has to move upscale even more to survive, and as some have mentioned, GM is not keen on letting the «stepson» get in the way of GM's «real» luxury brand. So, yes, I would say there is a very fine balancing act in store at GM in order for everybody to get a piece of the pie. The more reason to get the next 9-5 in the exact right spot, and make sure it is a truly memorable Saab.
