As they say, location is everything -- so that will be a factor.
Is this house priced competitively against others in the same neighborhood? (maybe *very* competitively?) Be very aware of what other houses are going for -- if you are questioning this about the house, so will others!
WHen my kids were younger, I avoided "busy" streets at all costs -- more because of safety than noise.
OTOH -- to someone with older kids, etc -- this might be a nonissue.
If the neighborhood is nice, and the streets are more about convenience and access to shops, etc. -- then it could be seen as positive.
Good luck -- Pete
