This may not be similar, but our house is located at a busy intersection and we HATE the noise. Of course, our intersection is a goofball 6-way with stop signs that noone seems to be able to figure out yet they all drive through it daily. On a daily basis I will hear cars honking at each other at any time of the day. Also, every GD Harley Davidson in town drives through this intersection. I am sorry, but if I am mowing my lawn while listening to my MP3 player full blast I should not be able to hear your f'ing motorcycle!
As for resale, I think we will be alright b/c we are the second house in. The house on the corner was sold recently. It was on the market for more than 9 months and went for well below what it was worth.
