should work fine. If you want something a little better, go to a local lighting distributor. Here in San Antonio, American Light can take a picture of your house and create digital images of various lighting choices.
I've done 110v with a photocel connected to a GFCI. I used 15 watt bulbs to wash a brick wall in landscaped area. It looked like a resort at night. It is safer to go low volt.
Stay clear of the solar lights.
Good luck!
