I have just about anything in the way of fruits and vegetables. It's important to check the expiration dates and rotate stock just like a grocery store.
Grains, rice, beans, etc. store indefinetely in storage containers. MRE's and dehydrated foods also store a long time. I only have about six months worth of food and a month's worth of water, but have water purifier tablets and filtration for additional water. Nothing more than any camper would have although I don't camp. Also have a stash of cash, etc.
