Surprisingly enough the feedback on 9-7Xs from the magazines and my own impressions is one of quality. That's been the them I've read in a number of 9-7X road tests, "Hey it ain't a Saab, but it does have a real high quality feel" goes the refrain. I just sat in one this morning myself and everything you touch is has a soft touch quality feel to it, everything that moves has a damped smooth quality to it.
My point is that lately interior (exterior too) quality of domestic GM products has drastically improved and that everybody knocks GM and associates poor quality with the GM influence when in fact the opposite is true, Saabs need to come up to current GM standards. You wouldn't have even considered such a notion 10 years ago, but lately GM has caught up and surpassed many folks.
Go sit in a 9-7X again and see if you don't agree.
