Noel pegged it, itsa' short train ride to Paris. We had a 6 hour layover on the way to Trollhattan, took the train to the the Louvre.

Yes the river boats on the Seine. As for museums, the Louvre was OK, but the the D'Orsay was fabulous. Close walking distance to Notre Dame is the church with all the stained glass, can't think of the name. Notre Dame is best viewed from the river on a tour boat.

Best meal in my life was at the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. Fresh raw oysters (bring your own cocktail sauce) and steak tar tar.
