I've been looking at upgrading my CRT to flat screen TV for a while and I came across Vizio. Since I'm not huge on electronics anymore and I use a standard RF antenna for TV and a basic DVD and DVD/VCR for movies I was looking for a good HDTV that wasn't top of the line but still good. I am planning on doing a wall mount fore cleanliness and space. Since I'm no longer cutting edge in electronics, I can go with economical and functional; no need to latest/greatest. But, I don't want to buy something that will be obsolete in a few years like my CRT's (10-20yrs old)
My research came up with a 32" Vizio LCD HDTV for around $700 at Sam's/CostCo. It has pretty good specs: HDTV 16:9, 1080i, 720P, ntegrated NTSC/ATSC/QAM HDTV Tuners, 1200:1 contrast, HDMI(2), 1yr in house warranty, etc. Also, the CNet review is pretty good - 6.6 and good user reviews are pretty good as well.
Anyone have experience or thoughts? A 32" LCD for $700 seems pretty good for the specs but I'm sure prices will continue to drop.
Thanks
Wil W
