Used to Fly

I go between Houston and New Orleans a few times a month and I used to always fly. Then Continental stopped considering it as a Flight Segment so I've been driving it. It's about a 5 hour drive each way. The flight itself is only about 50 minutes, but by the time you get to the airport and check in an hour ahead of departure, land, get a rental car, drive from the airport to where you're going, you're talking 3.5-4 hours total anyway. 5 hours is probably my limit for driving.
I got smart and started scheduling my meetings for afternoons and spending the night. A 9:00 AM meeting after a 5 hour drive makes for a long day.
