I've got a 9000, and a 9-5. My $0.02 would be to get a 9-5 newer than 2002, take the 5 speed auto. depending on where you live and how you drive, the 9-5 will probably get better mileage than a 9-3. FYI my 9-5 (2002 90K) has been getting at least 30 avg mpg. as high as 36 if you keep your foot out of it. The 9-5 ride is more refined than the 9000. I would try to get any service records on what ever you buy, and I would stay away from the V6. Good luck on your upgrade, and post a picture when you buy it.
