You didn't say you had two 900 Saabs, you said 9k's so I don't know why you'd wanna' move back to the smaller car now? But it's total personal preference either way. For me the 9-5 is a much richer, warmer traditional design, or at least they were with the wood dashes through about 2005, not that I'd reject an Aero with the aluminum look dash. For me 9-5's are also the larger car in the line, of which I've always owned over the base car.
But I gotta' tell ya', the lines of a 9-5 Aero SportWagon of any vintage does me in. I love the rear window line, sportier than most, but still very roomy and useful. And any 9-5 Aero has the appropriate low profile tires and wide wheels on a visibly lowered chassis with an aggressive front spoiler.
IMHO the 9-5 SportWagon is the perfected hatchback and the coolest Saab of all.....
