There is no over-the-air (antenna) broadcast standard for 1080p, only 1080i.
1080i and 1080p have the same resolution but there are significant differences. 1080p sends an entire frame each time the picture is scanned (usually 60 times/second). 1080i sends *half* a frame each time, alternating scan lines (so lines 1, 3, 5, 7... in one scan then 2, 4, 6, 8... in the other), this is called "interlacing". The benefit of an interlaced format is it's 1/2 the data rate of progressive. The biggest drawback is the display (usually, sometimes it's the tuner or playback device) has to do "deinterlacing" to show the picture, and this can affect picture quality.
