I used to work for Saab Corp. in Ga. and was required to tell a lie about incidents involving the location of the ignition on Saab cars. I worked in customer assistance and also was the technical liason for the dept. I took 3 calls within a few months of each other that complained of the key being hit while driving at high speeds and the engine cutting off. I was told by the technical staff the standard "there are no known concerns(never use the word problems)with the location of the ignition. They said a child would have to have turned the key. That did not happen with any of the customers. The customers were very frightened and one almost got into a serious accident. This looks to me like collusion between GM and the insurance companies. I actually worked for EDS at the time who Saab contracted to do their customer service. The manager was Larry Brewer. No one cared that this was in my opinion a cover-up. This happened several years ago and that is why I feel safe in exposing this safety issue. Saab prides itself on its safety and they are liars-especially since getting involved with GM. It seems EDS is also connected with GM and Dick Cheney and JimBaker, who were at that time on their board of directors. What does that say about all of this? Just business as ususual for big business in the good US of A.
