Same deal in CO with the refusal part except that you just lose your license for a year but no charge goes on your record (if I remember right).
What strikes me as stupid is how easy it is to get your license back after getting a DUI. My sister in law is an alcoholic. She lost her license to a DUI after ramming 4 cars, plowing down a tree, then driving into someones living room in her Expedition. Within 6 months, she's got a "red license" (allowed to drive to and from work). Her family has caught her driving to and from the liquor store since she can't keep a job. She isn't a recovering alcoholic.... she's never hopped off that wagon, but the State allows to let her behind the wheel because they feel that a car is necessary to earn a living and she went to the classes. Stupid.
