I do the roadside, but from what I've heard, that is a thing of the past. Most cops carry a mobile breathalizer (sp.).
From a friend who served jury duty on a drunk driving test, the breath test has a lot of problems and is easily messed up (belching/vomiting for instance within 10 minutes of the test). Refuse the breath, and demand the blood if you truely feel like you're innocent. The blood test is accurate, and will buy you an hour or so of "sobering". My theory is also that everyone's liver is different in how well it scrubs out alcohol (everyone knows a lightweight drinker and those that handle it much better after all).. The problem with the blood test is that for sure they are going to process you, tow the car, etc. If you've had a couple, but think you'll pass, the mobile breath test can set you free instantly if you pass.
