to pay $50K for a new 9-5, and hopefully there will be incentives to ease the pain because the new 9-5 is the nicest Saab to date. It's hard for a dedicated Saab guy to understand those who are not. The 9-5 is in a new market and it will take time for that to sink in, (for us and the public)and the move up in class may work better than Saab's past efforts. We hope so. You may not have the public pegged. I was told the dealer took an order on an Aero from a guy who was shopping Cadillac and wanted the latest thing and something different. I don't know what price. "Give me the latest thing and something different". There is an element like that both within and outside the Saab community. For those that think Saab is gone, they will know otherwise when the see the new 9-5. I saw a Pontiac G-8 yesterday and was reminded that the 9-5 was developed under the GM umbrella. Thankfully, I don't see GM's influence anywhere in the new 9-5 styling.
