It looks to me like all they were exercising was how many conflicting ideas and body lines they could pack into one car. If they have some interesting engineering, I'd rather see that than have the visual distraction of an derivative, poorly styled body wrapped around it.
The only possibly cool thing is the doors, but vertically opening doors rarely get into production, other than in few exotic cars. Too costly to build and not much fun to use in the rain.
Saab or not, this car fell out of the top of an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Just my $0.02.
