I once had a Sears Craftsman 'Digitork' unit calibrated through Sears' service center. It wasn't that expensive, but it was a LONG time ago. When I was in the Coast Guard, we sent ours out very regularly for calibration, and even had testers on the wall where they could be checked (basically a weight on a pivot, with a follower that was calibrated).
