The pollyanna-ish thoughts aside, being able to get home at a reasonable time and having even just a little more time to do things as a family or spend some time alone with your wife just makes everything work better. Overtime is cool for those moments when extra money is a must, but peace at home is does not create. I've had it both ways and if given the choice of even more money vs more time, I take the time every time.
Lastly, there is no better feeling when leaving a job than knowing you did the job well and will be missed. Leaving in a huff or even with a chip on your shoulder taints all the good work you may have done. This isn't to say anyone will cry when you leave or call you with regrets, but you will know you were not the reason it didn't work and you move on with your head held high. Simple as that. The word will get out and your new employers will be that much happier with the choice they made to bring you on board.
Good luck with everything.
Dan
