I've owned the Honda 2000 EU generator for a decade now. We live on the NC coast - and have had several day power outages after two major hurricanes (Isabel 2003, Irene 2011) and shorter outages after more than a few smaller storms.
This little generator is excellent. It is quiet, fuel efficient... a reliable friend. We find the power it will provide (max about 1500 - 1600 watts constantly) will power the fridge, computers, TV and a few lights. It even has enough juice to fire up the coffee maker in the morning (provided you avoid any other loads for a few minutes).
If you need to run it for a few days, you will much enjoy the relative quiet compared with cheap generators one might get at Lowes / Home Depot. I would recommend the Honda generator without hesitation.
