Well, I've got the proper 3-way switch installed. Most of the issue is now resolved.
The dimmer turns the chandelier on and off.
The second switch also turns it on and off.
The only thing still wrong is that the dimmer won't dim. This is perplexing, since I installed it 2 months ago and it was dimming just fine until I replaced the second switch this morning.
I supposed I could be mis-wired, but I don't see how. I haven't touched the wiring in the dimmer. Appreciate further advice!
