The problem is finding something you can mount on a wall. A cigarette lighter is much too large, and probably too dangerous, to just leave hanging around, waiting for something to stick a finger in. The Powerlet stuff looks intriguing, though - I just need to find a solution that can sit in a wall and not get damaged or push through, etc.
