Here's what I did to install LED lighting under the top (pointing down) on our minibar:
- installed a new 120V 10A outlet in the drywall inside of the minibar (opposite end of the plumbing, obviously) using one of those blue new work outlet receptacles.
- bought a 12V DC wall wart, and plugged it in the new receptacle for power.
- made a little wiring harness incorporating a rocker switch from radio shack as well as connectors so I wouldn't have to cut the wires on the wall wart.
- drilled in the side of the minibar and installed the wiring harness / rocker switch.
- drilled a small hole for the LED wires to go through, and added a 12V connector to plug in the wiring harness.
- plugged all the connectors together.
- PROFIT!
