Yep, basically doing the same thing, except on a wall illuminating a handrail. I just want something I can easily unplug the lights from in the event they fail for some reason. I could always just cut or unsolder them from the in-wall wiring, but then I'll end up with two small wires just randomly dangling out of the drywall, which is less than ideal.
I recognize why there aren't any physically tiny plug/receptable combos designed for in-wall installation, I just was hoping there were.
