I'm not trying to pry, I mean what type of plug do you need to plug into 12v?
Where are you going to step down the household current to 12v? Or do you already have a 12v power supply to the area?
If you have some say over what the male end is, how about using a transformer to step down 120v to 12v and wire it to a normal wall outlet and putting a standard plug on the item?
The outlet and the plug don't care what voltage they are wired to (within reason).
