What my son knows and what he suspects. Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 14 May 2013 09:44:24 In Reply to: What HAPPENED?, Sam8, Mon, 13 May 2013 13:54:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Knows:
He saw the carpet had been replaced in hallway outside the Apartment door that day when he arrived home.
Carpet installers use noisy air or electrically driven actuators in their nailers and staplers.
Dog hates sudden sharp noises such as gun shots, fire crackers, dropped boards, etc.
When he arrived home he discovered blood on wall beneath box window, venetian blinds destroyed on the door to deck and on box windows overlooking deck, all nick-nacks in box window were broken, claw marks on table top, dog feces tracked throughout the apartment, no evidence of blood source on dog.
Suspects:
Dog was terrified by the carpet installer's noisy tools and tried to escape out through the door to deck which was locked. While trying to escape through door he sliced his deformed dew claw on the metal venetian blind slats as well as breaking the blinds off the door into a pile on the floor. Not being able to open door he then tried to jump to the box window shelf, about a 4 ft leap. Being too old and chubby to make the leap his repeated failed attempts to jump resulted in his bloody leg leaving considerable blood evidence on wall. Eventually he then jumped from floor to chair seat, to table top, to box window shelf. Once there he then destroyed everything sitting in the box window and also destroyed the window blinds.
Somewhere in this string of events he crapped twice on the floor of the apartment, walked through his stool, then tracked it all over the apartment while trying to find any other means of escape.
Our son arrived home to find the described mess and his thoroughly exhausted dog sitting in front of the blood stained wall. No evidence of source of blood on the dog so he must have licked his wound till it healed.
Maybe I could sell this to C.S.I.
