I'm pretty skeptical that anyone will be able bring Saab back. Mini is a good example of successfully bringing back a dead brand mainly because they were able to capture the DNA of the original in a modern car that is unlike anything else on the market. The problem for Saab is that for the last 20 years their efforts to become a mainstream brand have homogenized them to a point where there are few substantive differences between them and the competition. That coupled with the fact that no one (even here) really seems to have a clear vision of what a Saab was, is, or should be going forward. Personally I have great effection for the 93/96, C900 and 9000. I think the NG900 was a distinctive car with many virtues, but it wasn't nearly as compelling. The 9-3 and 9-5 are possibly Saab's best cars in many ways, and yet they are the least distinctive from other brands. So the real question is what can Saab do that no one else can? What can they do that makes them different from the competition? Until someone answers that question they'll just be another brand up against competitors who are much bigger and better with vast resource at their disposal. It doesn't seem like a winning proposition sorry to say.
