Winds vary but when quote numbers I state they are a two-way average highway cruise, once going into work and return, or on a tankful computed by hand.
Regarding tires I used to go through 3-4 sets per year on any one car doing road course events. Played with multiple pressures on the track which are much higher pressures than most run on the street along with much severe operating environment. I have also towed, both car dolly and box trailer, monitoring both tire pressures and the effects of weight on temperatures.
People think of baloon when they think of pressures. Too much air in a baloon and she pops. With a tire there are many more variables like temperature, load, speeds....
