This is premium cross vehicle that the 9-4 would have been and is about 10 cubic feet less usable space than a 9-5 wagon. When the tank is gone it should be about 34-35 mpg for the duration(39 mpg two way avaerage). This one only has 100 miles on it so things should improve in time. Which is about the best real world mpg all-wheel drive gas engined vehicle.

The Subaru Impreza is rated in the 36-37 mpg range highway but I haven't seen anybody match or better it.
