The early 9Ks weren't exactly beautiful but by around '90 were looking much better. I especially liked the '91/'92 CD version (I owned two of them)and the later cars combined all the good design cues of the hatch and sedan, making them the best looking 9Ks of all. The 9K is the last pure Saab in my book (the NG900 had a good bit more GM influence) and one could argue that it's a better looking car than the C900 if not for the C900s quirky, distinctive charm.
