Yup, a few times.

3 different control arms broke on my '89 SPG. Had to get towed home twice. The last time, it broke as I was backing into the driveway (this one doesn't count.)

Upper radiator hose developed an aneurism on the interstate about a mile south of Frackville, PA late on a Saturday afternoon. Got towed to an ancient gas station that just happened to have a universal hose the right size hiding in the rafters amongst hundreds of truck-sized hoses. Maintenance. Changed all coolant hoses after I got home and change uppers every few years.

Had an ECU go bad but I was able to nurse it a mile or so to get home, so that doesn't count.

Had a turbo cooler oil line work itself loose. Got home but I had to use a rental car til the very simple cause could be found and fixed.

Slave cylinder blew out at the office parking lot. Had to get a taxi home and then fix it in the parking lot on the weekend (yeah .... this one counts) That was caused by reusing a throwout bearing one time too many - it seized and spun the slave cylinder piston.

And once, my '88 SPG got totaled by a semi. Had to get that one flatbedded .... but it wasn't the car's fault. ("Hi hon. Do you remember the grey car I used to drive? ....") Made sure that the car was taken care of then went to the emergency room once the shock wore off and broken things started to make themselves known.
