There are a number of cars at work which have their wipers in the raised position every day in winter. I have lived in Michigan my entire life and never saw this until this winter at work. Although there is a small fraternity of employees who work in this career niche and who move regularly from site to site across the US, primarily to locations in southern States. Perhaps this is the result of a crazy urban legend circulated between those who aren't accustomed to regular snowfalls.
